FEATS OF THE WEEK: The Bass Pro Tournament of Champions in Springfield, Mo., had significant poll implications with four teams in the Top 25 or regional rankings in the field. After serving No. 23 Springfield, Kickapoo its first defeat of the season in the semifinals, No. 21 Memphis, Tenn., White Station earned its third T of C title in the 19-year history of the event by defeating No. 22 Bronx, N.Y., St. Raymond, 61-51. In the third-place game, Kickapoo handled Southwest No. 10 Houston, Westbury Christian, 65-51. Crowds for the three-day event held at Southwest Missouri State's Hammons Student Center averaged over 8,000 per session . . . Bob McDonald of Chisholm, Minn., earned career coaching victory No. 800 in his team's 67-52 win over Albrook. In 48 years, McDonald has compiled a record of 800-304 . . . Vincent Banks of Atlanta, South Atlanta scored 58 points in a 114-47 thrashing of Therrell. The 6-3 guard is averaging 35 points per game . . . Superstar LeBron James of No. 1 Akron, Ohio, St. Vincent-St. Mary outdid even himself last week by scoring a career-high and school-record 50 points in a 92-56 win over Mentor. The 6-7 James connected on 11-of-17 3-point shots.
