FEATS OF THE WEEK: He graced the cover of Sports Illustrated last season, and now superstar senior LeBron James of No. 8 Akron, Ohio, St. Vincent-St. Mary will make his national television debut when the Irish face No. 7 Mouth of Wilson, Va., Oak Hill at the High School Hoops Classic in Cleveland on Thursday. ESPN2 will televise the matchup. It's the network's first regular-season high school game since 1989. Some SV-SM games are also available on pay-per-view to Northeast Ohio cable subscribers this season at a cost of $7.95 per game . . . Benton, Ky., played host to the Marshall County Hoopfest, with five teams ranked nationally or regionally in the field. No. 5 Lexington, Ky., Catholic defeated No. 20 Jackson, Miss., Lanier, 76-73, in the event's finale . . . Lake Charles, La., also was home to a top-notch event in the American Press Tournament, where regionally ranked Monroe, La., Ouachita downed regionally ranked Fort Bend, Texas, Hightower, 84-73, in the final after dispensing of defending Prep Poll champ Dallas, Lincoln, in the semifinals. .
