FEATS OF THE WEEK: He graced the cover of Sports Illustrated last season, and now superstar senior LeBron James of No. 8 Akron, Ohio, St. Vincent-St. Mary will make his national television debut when the Irish face No. 7 Mouth of Wilson, Va., Oak Hill at the High School Hoops Classic in Cleveland on Thursday. ESPN2 will televise the matchup. It's the network's first regular-season high school game since 1989. Some SV-SM games are also available on pay-per-view to Northeast Ohio cable subscribers this season at a cost of $7.95 per game . . . Benton, Ky., played host to the Marshall County Hoopfest, with five teams ranked nationally or regionally in the field.
