Dick McConnell of Tucson, Sahuaro became the first Arizona coach to win 700 games with his team's 69-60 win over Flowing Wells; Charles Smith of regionally ranked Alexandria, La., Peabody earned victory No. 500 with a 53-46 win over Lake Charles, Marion Washington; Ronald Johnson of White Castle, La., notched win No. 500 in a 68-59 decision over Baton Rouge, McKinley; and Myrtle Beach, S.C., Socastee's Dan D'Antoni won his 500th with a 85-65 defeat of North Myrtle Beach . . . No. 17 Belleville, Ill., West earned its way into the Top 25 this week after upsetting then-No. 9 Jackson, Miss., Lanier, 54-44, at the Shop 'n Save/KMOX Shootout at the Savvis Center in St. Louis. Also at the Shootout, Illinois recruit Shaun Pruitt scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead No. 2 Aurora, Ill., West to a 56-49 win over St. Louis, Chaminade . . .
