Weekly Athlete Spotlight: Eber Wright (John Carroll) 14.1 PPG
Not much ever gets mentioned about John Carroll without talking about junior Matt Marcorelle. However, Marcorelle suffered an injury earlier in the season
and John Carroll was looking for someone to step up. Junior Eber Wright has proven to be the second scorer that coach Steve Ripley has been looking for.
His mid-range jumper has gotten better and his conditioning is definitely up. Wright has improved his game immensely since last year. He will
have to work on his ball handling to succeed at the college level.

Weekly Athlete Spotlight: Corey Claitt (Palm Beach Lakes) 17.8 PPG
There has been a lot of talk of Palm Beach Lakes and their getting back to Lakeland. They had a squad last year. The "oak trees" of Louis Graham
and Marcus Hubbard have been replaced by guards sophomore Corey Claitt and junior Jarrett Brown. Claitt has a lot going for him. He
has a good middle range jump shot, strokes the 3-pointer when necessary, and takes good care of the ball. He got a chance to prove himself
last week in the Martin Luther King Tournament held at Palm Beach Lakes. The Rams outplayed Jacksonville Raines for most of the game. It was only
a last second shot from Claitt blocked by Derwin Kitchen that kept Lakes from winning the game. Although, an injury to
Lakes' sophomore point guard was more the reason for the loss.
