Game Notes :

South East Florida
Key West beat Palmer Trinity behind Eric Brown double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds and Keith McLeod's double of 23 points and 23 rebounds. Palmer Trinity's Richard Martin hit 7 three pointers enroute to a 27 point performance. Calusa Prep continued their winning ways with a victory over American Heritage. Denis Clemente was game-high with 30 points. Omar Brito netted a double-double of 16 points and rebounds.

Central East Florida
Vero Beach stayed undefeated with a win over Lincoln Park, 65-54. Mark Lohuis led the Indians with 22 points. Lincoln Park was led by Jamison Clark's 23 points. John Carroll's Eber Wright has stepped up in the absence of junior guard Matt Marcorelle. He has averaged 21 points per game through this week's 3 game schedule. W.T. Dwyer had 5 players in double figures in their win over Christopher Columbus. Alphonso Towns led the way with 25 points. Sophomore Tuboris Larkins recorded a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Central Florida
Montverde Academy got a better game from Lake Weir than Thursday's Pendleton matchup. Vytautas Valiulis was an assist shy of a double-double as he hit 15 points and 9 assists. Idongist Ibok had a double-double of 10 points and 14 rebounds. Central Florida Christian Academy's Kneser had a double-double of 31 points and 16 rebounds in their overtime win over New Dimensions. Smith recorded a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds. Oveido remained undefeated as they blew out Orangewood by fifty. The Pendleton School's varsity squad could use a little help. Where is Danny Morrissey when you need him? Or, anyone else for that matter? Dr. Phillips' Jason Rich and Trey Hopkins introduced Pendleton to another defeat that wasn't even close. How would you like to pay $30K to go to a school to get beat by Jason Rich and company. Michael Beasley definitely needs some help if this squad is going to win any tough games. A lot has been made about the young "guns" at Lake Howell. Brothers Pat Calathes (22 points) and Nick Calathes (16 points) led the team to an easy win over Mainland. Lake Howell's varsity is pretty young. Give them a couple of years and then they'll be ready. Evans' Siler recorded another double-double as he hit 23 points and 12 rebounds in the win over Oak Ridge. Pine Castle stay undefeated as Lambert hit for 20 points and 12 rebounds in their win.

Game Notes :

Central East Florida
Over-rated Ft. Pierce Central falls again, this time from under-rated South Fork. The Palm Beach Post probably has these two teams reversed in their rankings. South Fork is enjoying the return of Ferrel Graham and sophomore Brennen Grubbs is averaging a double-double in points and rebounds. Senior Ladale Phillips led Central as Brandon Degregorio has not gotten back on track since the first couple of games of the season. John Carroll took a win from St. Edwards from Jon Washington's career high 23 points and Eber Wright's shooting (5 3's). Now the only question is, Where is leading scorer Matt Marcorelle? Cardinal Newman cruised to a win over Palm Beach Gardens behind Michael Lee's double-double of 25 points and 15 rebounds and Chauncey Gibbs' 23 points. Spanish River's Darrell Nelson recorded a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds in their win over Pope John Paul. Palm Beach Lakes keeps rolling as they knocked off over-matched Suncoast, 71-39. Jarrett Brown and Corey Claitt continue to lead the team in scoring. Port St. Lucie continues to impress as they defeated Jupiter in their first district game. PSL has 3 players (Ronald Daniels, Darryl Taylor, and leading scorer Shane Reynolds) averaging double figures and play extremely aggressive on both sides of the ball.

Central Florida
Eustis beat Buchholz behind double-doubles from Walters (11 points and 13 rebounds) and Pruitt (10 points and 12 rebounds). Seabreeze edged St. Augustine and got double-doubles from Fields (12 points and 12 assists) and Glenn (12 point and rebounds). Timber Creek's Stoval scored a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds as they beat Olympia. Oveido stayed undefeated as they blew out Faith Christian by fifty behind Davila's 25 points and 13 rebounds. West Oaks slid by Covenant Christian as Gibson recorded a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds. North West
3rd Annual Tim Brinkley Memorial Tournament

Featured Game.
Montverde Academy put a "big one" on the Pendleton School, namely 6'11", 230 pound Idongist Ibok at the 3rd Annual Tim Brinkley Memorial Tournament at North Marion High School. The Pendleton School, nationally know for their prep squad, has not put forth the effort that was expected for their high school squad. National freshman sensation Michael Beasley and Dwain Williams are considered the anchors of this young team. We will have to give Pendleton some time to grow and play together. Montverde Academy on the other hand has a variety of international players in Arminus Urbutis (6'9"), Vytautas Valiulis (6'1"), Luc Mbahamoute(6'6"), Stephane Bakinde (6'8"), and Giedriuis Knysas (6'8"). All the players had double figures in the game except Urbutis. A definite up and coming squad! Thanks to Delton Hayes for the heads up on these guys.

North Marion's 6'6" Greg Carr had 24 points and 17 rebounds in the game against Cliff Clinkscales and Shores Christian. However, it wasn't enough as Clinkscales more than matched Carr's output with a 26 point game.

The third game featured Tallahassee Rickards and outmatched Lake Weir. Jermonte Bush and Ledonshay Johnson led the way for the easy win for Rickards.

Florida Air Academy got a whopping 3 points from Kansas-bound Alexander Kaun as they defeated Port St. Lucie (who has no one over 6'3"). Walter Hodge provided the necessary offense for the win.
