October 24. Ryan A. Delafield, the Director of Scouting & Evaluations for the Jacksonville Lee Bulls has reported to us that Raines High School 6'2 175 lb. point guard London Warren committed to the Dayton Flyers after a weekend official visit. Warren average 19 points 8 rebounds and 8 assists a game this past summer with the Jacksonville Lee Bulls. London led Raines to the Class 4A state championship in 2004 and the regional finals in 2005. Warren chose the Flyers over home town school Jacksonville University in a very close race with new coach Cliff Warren. London felt that he could not have went wrong with either school. Warren could have waited for the late period as other big schools had expressed interest in him signing in the spring. However, after missing part of his junior year with a broken arm, London felt that he wanted to concentrate on getting Raines back to the state playoffs.

October 19. Player sketches from last weekend's Adidas Rookie Sensations at Vanguard High School in Ocala. Class of 2009 Mosley guard Ethan Roulhac and Class of 2010 Father Lopez guard Brandon Serle showed the way for their respective classes.

October 5. Well, we've given everyone else a chance to talk about last weekend's Battle of the Rankings. It looks like Florida Hoops will be the first to feature any type of information on the weekend. Some complain that it's getting too big. Actually, the comment should read, too many players to evaluate in such a short time. Breakdown Magazine continues to attract the best players around the state to their annual event, the important part. Rick Staudt was in attendance and will be providing more insight near the end of the week in his own article. You can read a few excerpts from Rick's take on the weekend right here about some of the players.

October 3. The USSSA Regional Showcase Series moves to the west coast this week with the First Annual City of Palms Showcase at Gulf Coast High School. Also, the Jacksonville-based NAABP organization will host their showcase at First Coast High School this weekend.
