USSSA Current Girls Standings
State of Florida Rankings as of February 25, 2003

General Information regarding point system and qualifying for the state tournament.

Teams are required to play a minimum of two FSCS qualifying tournaments to be eligible to play in the state championship tournament. Participating in an invitational tournament does not count as one of the two required state qualifiers to be eligible to play in the state tournament.

Points will be awarded to teams at each qualifying event in the following manner:
Champion 60 points
Runnerup 40 points
Bracket Games Won 30 points per game
Pool Play Games Won 20 points per game
Participation 20 points

In addition, teams will be awarded 20 points for participating in an invitational tournament and an additional 20 points for every game won in an invitational tournament. For example, if a team wins five games on its way to an invitational championship, it will receive a total of 120 points toward its state ranking points. State rankings will be based on the points earned at the qualifying and invitational tournaments. The rankings will be used to determine which teams qualify for the state tournament and will be used to determine seedings for the state tournament. The number of teams that will qualify in each age bracket will be based on the overall number of teams that compete in each age bracket during the qualifying events. A maximum of 16 teams will qualify for the state championships in any single age bracket. Any team that plays in at least two qualifiers and wins a qualifying tournament will automatically qualify for the state championship tournament.

"My son's high school coach gave him a copy of the book and he read it in two days. Now he is leading the effort to get himself a scholarship. The book is inspiring and effective for high school athletes."
