"Florida Treasure Coast Top Recruit Prospects"

Treasure Lake Conference
Current Standings and Game Reports

District 6-6A Championship Game

Feb. 16  Martin County (17-11) 59, Palm Beach Lakes (16-10) 58
Top scorers: Hurley Dunbar (MC) 25 pts., Randy Jones (PBL) 19 pts., Korey Mitchell (MC) 15 pts., Louis Graham (PBL) 14 pts.

Game Notes
The Martin County Tigers provide yet another upset. This time around Palm Beach Lakes was their prey. The team struggled through the second half of the season without Hurley Dunbar, losing 5 games in a row. Since getting Dunbar back, they have gotten back to their early season form. Palm Beach Lakes has proven a tough opponent all three times this year. However, Martin County came out on top this time. Hurley Dunbar is definitely baack!

A look ahead
  • Martin County will face Sarasota Riverview this Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Don Wallen Gymnasium. Martin County will definitely feel the home court advantage.
  • Palm Beach Lakes will play Tampa Gaither.

Feb. 15  Martin County (16-11) 91, Vero Beach (23-6) 84 (2OT)
Top scorers: Hurley Dunbar (MC) 30 pts., Korey Mitchell (MC) 28 pts., Ryan Maultsbie (VB) 23 pts.

Game Notes
The upset of the evening over District 6-6A No. 1 seed Vero. A definite hack fest. Four Vero players fouled out before it was over. Martin County is playing well. They will need this play to beat tomorrow's opponent Palm Beach Lakes. Palm Beach Lakes has defeated Martin County both times the teams have met this season.

District 14-4A Championship Game

Feb. 16  St. Lucie west Centennial (18-8) 60, Port St. Lucie (13-14) 55
Top scorers: Terrell Slater (SLWC) 19 pts., Carl Damus (PSL ) 14 pts., Richard Damus (PSL) 13 pts., Charles Singletary (SLWC) 12 pts.

Game Notes
Unbelievable! Centennial defeats Port St. Lucie for the third time this season. Centennial guard Terrell Slater did not get close to the 30 points he has been averaging over the last 5 games, but he had enough points to put away Port St. Lucie.

"My son's high school coach gave him a copy of the book and he read it in two days. Now he is leading the effort to get himself a scholarship. The book is inspiring and effective for high school athletes."
