Junior High Division

Conference Tournament Results

Feb. 13  Murray Middle (14-4) 49, Hidden Oaks (14-4) 48 (OT)

Game Notes
A controversial no shot call in the closing seconds lifted the Lion's spirit to beat the Sharks in overtime. The overall play of Brennen Grubbs continues to show him one of the best 8th graders in the area. T.J. Grace got his points in this game. However, no other Hidden Oaks player stepped up. Kenny Bates outside game woke up to keep Murray in contention in the 1st quarter.

Feb. 13  Gifford Middle (11-7) over Oslo Middle (15-3)

Game Notes
The shocker of the evening. Oslo lost their best player several weeks ago and having spiraling downward. A loss to Stuart Middle and Murray Middle made them suspect to losing. Gifford lost a few players of their own. However, they are definitely playing.

Championship Game - Thursday, Feb. 14The championship game should be interesting. Murray coach Dan Boyle needs to utilize his bench. The Lions played with a seven man rotation against Hidden Oaks. His shooters hardly seeing any play time. He will have to take advantage of them against the 2-3 zone defense of Gifford.
